I would have made the rns 510 accept sdhc cards by default. I can't find out whether mine is version a or b therefore am not willing to risk updating the firmware to fix this. I would have to take the unit out of the dash to check the hardware version to safely know whether a firmware update is safe to do so

The letter at the end of the part number should tell you which version it is.
Currently pootling around in our family wagen, a Tiguan SEL 😂

that's awesome. I have installed the video in motion hack and via that have found out thet I have a B revision rns510 and firmware version 1100. Going to try and install firmware versino 1200 to see if I can get SDHC compatibility working. Cheers for the link.
