Getting beyond a joke now! Confirmed BW35, been in "build in progress" since then. Spoke to dealer beginning of wk37 and he said it had been built and was on the way to the port. Now wk38 and my tracker still hadn't moved, so thought I would give VWUK a ring. They said that it was still "building in progress" and did I order the rear view camera (which I didn't) then said it could be the Dynauido holding it back (first time I've seen the audio as an excuse). I asked them why my dealer said a week ago it was built and on its way to then a week later it's back to being built, and surprise surprise he couldn't (to busy spinning a line that these things can happen. I mentioned that people with build weeks after mine and are already in transit via the info on this forum and he said "are they friends you personally know?" I said what difference does that make, people on the forum have ordered the GTI/D and put their experiences down are you saying "that they are all lier's,and that nobody talks to each other" to which he didn't have an answer. Also mentioned about VWUK opening the books to soon to which again no answer. Told him that the way people have been treated or lied to is a disgrace and this whole process has soured what should be for me the best experience ever in getting the car I've wanted for years. He did get both barrels from me and to some it might seem like I'm throwing my teddy out of the pram but when you're told one thing and then a week later told another it gets frustrating. Rant over the wait continues

I feel your pain Blades.  Sounds like you are getting the exact same BS level of service and delays that a lot of us have had.  If its any consolation it will get built and delivered - you'll just have to wait even longer than expected (eg. I'll be looking at 24 weeks).  Hang in there and console yourself with looking at the reviews and pics that others have posted who have been lucky enough to get their hands on theirs - certainly kept me from going (even more) insane!

True mate, it's nice to see the pictures and read about the joy that everybody is experiencing of their delivered cars. Except those who've had bits fall of them already!

4 days if you are lucky. Hound your dealer into same day or next day PDI and handover.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

My dealer reckons that my car will be with me early next week, but I don't think that is going to happen as it has been at the "3 weeks" stage of in-transit for ages.  If it is not even in the UK yet, there is no chance I will get it early next week.

Just have to have enough patience to last another week!  :lipsrsealed:

If the Olympics ever did an event for patience, there would be several gold medal contenders on this forum!
