I'm after a change too, I'm currently in a manual.

You've done well finding an ex demo that you can get straight away, I've been looking for a used car with the spec I wanted and ended up giving up and ordering.

Thing was I was wanting carbon grey and dsg - ending up with a red manual! I've never had a red car, my Audi is black and I've had a grey car before. So this one looked great! Love the tartan seats too - saves having to have a tartan blanket in the back!

Job done! Car bought, good deal just have to wait until the end of August for it to be released. Just hope they look after it! Seriously got to put some effort into selling my Audi and procuring a 5 year old wheel cleaner!

Mine was ordered 3 weeks ago from an excellent Benfield dealership in newcastle, they actually had a dealer car coming through and modified that to fit my spec so I'm told it should be with me second week in September  :grin: :grin: :grin:
This is my first "showroom" new car and will be a bit of an upgrade from my 2007 corsa.

3 Door GTI
Tornado Red
Nav (now standard)
Winter Pack (standard)
Keyless entry (standard)
Rear parking pack

Decided against the performance pack but I still can't wait for it to come, counting down the days...

Star93 - sounds good, red 3 door is the way to go! I missed out on the winter pack and keyless as mine's an ex-demo. But I have got nav. Did you go dsg or manual and PP?

Watts - Just manual, no performance pack, would have pushed my insurance prices just over the edge....

I did have the opportunity to buy an ex demo, 63 plate there and then for the same price but thought I may as well wait and get all the extra features.

White was my first choice but I had a long hard think and realised it would never be clean  :grin:

Sounds like you did the right thing - a 63 plate for the same price as new? Mine is a 15 reg, bought it from the vw dealer in Hersham so not far from you? White looks good but red, fantastic!

Watts- The older car actually worked out slightly more expensive due to the lack of dealer contributions and whatnot.

The car was ordered up in Newcastle as i've just moved down here.

Does mean I have an excuse to give it a long drive back down here

Ordered last week managed to find the colour spec with pp & dsg that I wanted the rest was already specced :smiley:
