Should do, I had a Kenwood for years before I went to Alpine for my Ipod. It played all my copied discs and then some.

it all seems ok plus it comes with all the right wiring for the mk4 not bothered about amps etc as long as it holds the same sound quality as oem im happy

the good thing about the oem radio i believe is it has been tuned to match the acoustics of the car. not a powerful unit or anything but is well matched to the standard speakers and car acoustics..
correct me if i`m wrong but i`m sure i read that somewhere.
if i were to change the head unit for anything else i would also change the speakers. but that means buying speaker pod adapters too..

Standard speakers in a MK4 are surprisingly good, you should notice an improvement with that head unit. Is yours only a single DIN unit at the moment?
