Also building my 1972 almost undrivably slammed beetle for shows

Wish I had your job  big family and can still do what you love, that's great mate!

Yeah man it's great.
Ok have almost fitted the Toledo interior.
Rear seats bolted strait in.

After researching on the web found out the front seats have mk2 setup.
So took them apart to use mk3 bases and Toledo back but brackets totally different
So had to take the material and foam off both seats and swap so now the Toledo foam and cloth/leather is on the mk3 metal frames.
Wile doing this I realised the headrests pins are spaced wider apart so also had to drill the top of the metal frames for it to work.
And now finally after hours of work I have one seat done lol
Just the drivers one to do now.
Will take more pics when it stops pissing down.

Few pics I took Owen I wasn't swearing at the seats.

Toledo foam and fabric on mk3 Frames.

Yeah I no I should have gone to work and just cut and welded the runner arm 2" out but I couldn't be arssed to drive there. So did it in me garage with no welder.

But tbh I enjoyed doing it this way. Was a learning curve and was a lot easier than I thought.
