I never get passed by chav saxo's as they are known to be crap on open water......
Neither do I, but after all the money my 8v has swallowed and its dreadful mpg I could run a proper powerboat with 8 cylinders instead of an old 8v with 135 bhp.
A V8 barge would get me down to the outlaws in Provence a lot easier

hi all new to the vw,s my mk3 golf gti 8v back fires when i change gear and has lack of power cant get over 90mph please help
Take it back, or break out your wallet, Its a Mk3 so it wont cost much.
Only thing that costs money on these is welding them up and painting them

Probably just needs new plugs and leads etc etc, or the timing is out......
One of the easiest cars to change a cam belt on but so so many are done wrong, mine ran like a bag o sh!te when I go it turned out to be 3 teeth out on the dizzy

But one of these, it will save you so much time and money and forum sarcasm....
When you get a problem plug it in, hell just plug it in your I bet your abs light has been removed

Next, use the search function and the stickied Mk3 info as Tweed will have a field day otherwise.

NB: its an 8v so search engine conversion now before you get passed by chav saxo
NBB: did i mention rusty sills, floor bungs, wheel arches, gutter trays?
NBBB: Throttle body cleaning, breather pipes, crank sensor, hall sensor, relays.

That should keep you busy
:afro: Quality reply and very true

Would have kept it to myself if I'd know he owed monies
