Well it was a nice review in the sense that his opinion was very 'understanding'.
The journos only get what VW plonk in front of them.
VW will have had their testers drive the competition's cars (ST, VXR etc) before releasing their cars to the press for review so will want the best specs to make the GTI feel better than the competitors.
The last thing they want is the journos just saying "Meh, just another GTI"
The best person to wait for a review from will be Neil Birkitt in VW Driver mag but even he will have had to review what VW give him to write about.
I'm putting my trust in the fact the non ACC/DCC car will be fine. One less thing to have to worry about adjusting.
