I use 95ron cause its not mapped and I don't seem to get any gains (power or mpg) on the higher octain stuff.

however don't use Sainsbury's hgh octain fuel, I tried it cause I accidently picked up the wrong fuel pump, car seemed to run worse...

Mine was mapped and would work on normal and super unleaded but as Dom said it is better to use super if you can.

I used to use Tesco momentum 99 but after hearing it's 95 with ethanol in it (to boost the octane rating) I went over to shell

Apparently methanol is very bad for your fuel lines !!
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

It's about £1.32 in Manchester as well, far too high.

Think tesco's in thetford is just shy of £1.36 for 95 and just under £1.40 for momentum 99
Did toy with getting v power but nearest one is 10-15 miles away ,but may use it as an exucse to give the car a run lol
