From what I remember the G60/VR6 combo won't handle that kind of power, not for very long anyway

Mine handled it ok! Isn't it tourk that kills the clutch?!

was just looking for your build thread there thought you were running the g60/vr6 what problems did you run into with your build

Yes it is torques that kill them, no one seems to know 100% what the VR6 clutch can handle though
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

Sorry, didn't see your sig. Might be worth either getting your stock exhuast manifold ported or buying a high flow one, should help see you to the 300bhp mark.  That fuel rail looks a little different.

I think the main reason people get their oem manifold ported is due to cost and reliability. I've heard a lot of aftermarket manifolds can crack pretty early. I've heard good things about the jbs mani, but they're very pricey.

And to answer xionsolaris' question, agu's come with forged Mahle pistons as standard.

You going for forged rods?

Sorry to ask so many questions but I'm at the same stage as you at the moment, got my home brewed hybrid turbo ready to go on, just need to get all the supporting mods.

i have a other agu engine there head and bottom end going to strip it and rebuild it as i can get the parts at the right prices going to bore out the bottom end as much as i can get away with maybe put a 2.0 stroker kit on it to but this is a good bit away what do you still need to get

I need to decide what I'm doing intercooler wise, just bought some IE forged rods, then it's WMI, exhuast mani, tempted to ditch my creation motorsports tip for the huge 80mm badger5 one. Got some genesis 415cc injectors and a genesis fuel pump on order too. I'm over in Canada at the moment, I'm getting the bits from the states, so saving a bit of cash.

So pretty much everything apart from the turbo and exhuast! Lol
