I think the Mk7 leather does have red stitching. I've seen it in the photos, I'm 99% sure.

The Mark VII GTI does indeed have red stitching if you specify leather :

I wouldn't take the pictures from the Paris "concept" launch as gospel for the UK spec, it doesn't say they have red stitching in the price list so i'll bet they are all black.
Currently pootling around in our family wagen, a Tiguan SEL 😂

That's exactly what I was thinking. And I could bet my dealer will just shrug his shoulders too :)

Don't let me put you off though, leather does add a level of prestige - which is why I've had it in the past! So if money isn't an issue then why not!

Thanks mate. If I remove leather, the GTI will cost me a tad over 29k, which psychologically sounds better than 30k +

Exactly my reasoning haha!! Basically I wanted to keep my monthly payments to £400 and with leather that just wasn't happening - and of all the options I've added that was the last one on the list, so it had to go!  Plus quite looking forward to having the iconic tartan as never had it before!

Till what point can one make changes to an order? Tracking says 'Processing your order'. Is it any time before 'Build week confirmed' ?

Anyone know?

Just out of interest when did you order? Interested as I STILL haven't been given an order number

Once the build week has been confirmed, if you alter the order you will go back a stage i.e. the beginning
Something to do with, once the build week has been confirmed, all the parts / options are then winging there way to the production line. So any change will either mean a part maybe not there in time which theoretically could hold up the production line, which there is no way they would do or if an extra is taken out, it means parts lying about!!

That's how my dealer explained it to me when I tried to unsuccessfully add something to my MK6. Being a disbeliever  I then phoned Milton Keynes customer service 3 different times and was told once it had went to build week, no changes could take place. I even pleaded with one and he "apparently" phoned customer services in Wolfsburg but it was still no go.  I had only just that day been allocated a build date as well.

That's good to know. I'm still in processing order stage. I'll call dealer tomorrow morning then.

I ordered it on 28th March.
