« on: 13 April 2013, 19:27 »
Never thought I'd use my AA subscription but I find I'm I need and possibly some very simple I bet to fix..

So I drive to get some petrol after work and all is ok I pull out of the garage and there is an almighty screeching that metal on metal noise defo from disc brake area like its rubbing I didn't smack anything on way out and the handbreak is off!!

Any ideas forum???....

I keep you updated.

There have been a number of people that have had stones stuck between the brake disc and the black plate behind it, give the plate a push and see if anything drops out?
Currently pootling around in our family wagen, a Tiguan SEL 😂

Probably wrong noise but could it be you have got a stone stuck between disc and brake calliper or one of your brake pads has got dislodged ???????? Hope it gets sorted  :nerd:

As above,it makes a god awful sound ,just gently pull the metal guard away from the disc and you will probably see a small stone drop out.

Once the wheel is removed, you will get a better idea, does sound like a small stone stuck...
