holy cr*p.
« on: 04 April 2013, 20:01 »
If anyone has read what i have written on hear i have put a wee bit of time and pennies into trying to make a nice golf and recently put my car in for a custom kit and paint..

After a gearbox failure i decided before the painting to take out engine and do an overhaul replace as much as possible..

I have found soooooo many horrible parts i have seen such as the "dipstick" being snapped halfway down and glued back on...WTF?

Gaskets have been taken off and nothing put in.. metal on metal...

The boost pipe that goes on the the actuator "nipple bit" was snapped off.. REALLY??

The oil feed to the turbo pipe has a inch long slash in it oosing oil....C'MON??

The intercooler was cut into the bumper and the bumper was massacared.. had to go buy another bumper to use for the kit..

Totally gutted and the worst part of it all was i payed £450 to this guy for a "Black diamond stage 2" clutch... he added vat on making it £540 and then labour on top of that ... after opening the box to find myself looking at a £80 LUK clutch........NO WAY???

so called the guy up took lots of pics and taking him the clutch tomoro, i have done 2k miles since fitting clutch running 230bhp and the clutch is down to the rivets.

SOOOO.. does anyone know where i can get a stage 2 clutch tomoro? i stay in scotland but will drive to pick up.. could be a life saver for next weeks painting to commence!

bit of a read but needed a rant :lipsrsealed:

pics!

on a good note my PCR arrived so now running full THS kit ;)

Would a g60 flywheel and vr6 clutch not handle stage 2 power?? What are you pushing?

Luk does a vr6 and g60 kit. Which would be more then fine. Find a decent mechanic to fit it as seems like ones you go to are thieving sh1ts

I'm running a stage 2 on a G60 and Sachs clutch setup

This is why if you can do most of the work on a car, to do it yourself.
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)
