Tyre noise.
« on: 01 April 2013, 22:20 »
Ive had some new tyres fitted about 3 weeks ago now. I had to throw some "cheaper" branded tyres on due to current financial constraints...

I was expecting some increased road noise, but they seem to be very loud, especially at around 50/60 mph. I passed it off as just the new tyres bedding in, but noticed tonight that the noise is almost non existent when I turn hard left.

I'm going to check the pressures and for any damage tomorrow, but the car drives as true as before. Anyone think it could be anything else? Wheel bearings (coincidentally packing up at the same time as new tyres), or maybe the alignment?

Thanks for any help/ideas :afro:

My old car used to squeal when turning right and have excessive road noise at motorway speed.  I got all for wheels laser aligned and it completely disappeared...I had pretty cheap tires on that too
Maybe check the pressures then tracking...

Stop talking in riddles, what cheapo tires did you get?

Maybe if you stop wasting your money buying Spurs tickets you could have got some proper ones
