it wasnt a spec you could chose on the mk6

something to do with max kerb weight or something

I may have to lose the roof then and spec something else,i quite fancy the button for starting the engine but after seeing the video of the toerags stealing the BMW 's  i'm not sure.

Hi Simon
I have the start button on my Evoque as long as the key is somewhere in the car it will start no problem.  If you can't have the roof you want I would go with the button.

I nearly bought a Passat with a pan sunroof recently. If I was buying new, I'd have a roof over wheels. I'm not over struck on the current choice of VW wheels, so a nice set of BBS's could be fitted at a later date once your bank account has got over the shock of paying for the new car.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

If I was putting in a order then it wudnt be without speccing the keyless entry, I had it in my Swift(before the Golf) and its probably the one thing I miss the most...to this day I still get in the GTD and just put the keys in my pocket then remember its key operated...

Hi stranger,i was more worried about someone stealing it without the key, BMW had a big problem recently  with car thieves they had a peice of equipment that enabled them to steal brand new BMW'S without the key  in a matter of seconds.

To be honest i was only going to get it because i liked the look of the sunroof meeting the windscreen,i have a  pan sunroof on my sharan which is nice for the kids but with air con its kind of pointless and noisy when open.

I quite fancied a sunroof as apart from the Mk2, I hadn't had one since 1999. As I said earlier, I was close to buying a Passat with one, In fact it had virtually every option on it possible, but the condition of the car fell well short of a so called approved used one.

I then considered an A4 Avant with one from TVS in Bridgnorth. That was a 3.0 TDI quattro, but my head ruled my heart on that one.

Ironically, I bought a boggo standard DSG Sport with no options what so ever. So I sill didn't get the sunroof that I would have liked. Still, I've got the Mk2 in the garage if I want to get buffeted.

I've still got the two Golfs in my sig pics, but the old Passat has made way for a Silver B7 TDI DSG Estate.
