this was just going to be my next question will it be ok to still drive it runs and drives perfect bar the knocking i think it is cam chain on it going to try and get it done under warranty if possible love the car so smooth and beautiful

they are known for the cam chain to rattle as some1 already said if it was a private sale cant see ir being done under warranty  mine also had the coil-packs done free of charge from the dealers just after i bought it an had some warranty work done on the paint

it was private sale but have had warranty changed to my name which cost me 25 quid but may be well worth it if i can get chain done on it how would i no if the coil packs have been done was yours done on recall or did you just get them done cheers gordon

my coil packs were done under recall just call vw give them your reg an if you can get them to check it you can show the warranty company the paperwork from vw  an go over your car looking for any signs of rust as i had new wings done free of charge too
