Charge pipe question?
« on: 14 March 2013, 19:05 »
Hi all, ok so my car is blowing its arse off once again! I've put one new downpipe to turbo gasket on....Still there. So I ordered two as a mechanic told me it could be badly warped on the downpipe due to age...Still blowing. I'm just wondering if the crappy AUM charge pipe could split on the o ring and make a blowing sound? It's really annoying me now. Has been like this for nearly 4 months!!!
Golf Mk4 GTi Turbo, R32 front bumper, Lowered on ProSport Coilovers, Bora illuminated vents, Armrest, Heko wind deflectors, Aluminium vinyl trim.

Soon to be added, FMIC, 3" exhaust, Remap..oh and new turbo :(

I honestly don't know however I would highly recommend you change that standard crappy charge pipe to a AGU one. I think rio Gti is selling one in the classified section :)

I have a spare AGU charge pipe about somewhere if your interested?

I'd thoroughly recommend getting a Samco silicone charge pipe replacement pipe and Mikalor clamps as well, is a much tighter fit than the standard pipe than can become loose over time.
