chris if you can wait a few weeks there's a repairer opening up in East Kilbride which has the lathe to fix polished face alloys.

Whereabouts is that in East Kilbride?
Powdertec below the Kingston bridge claim to be able to do them.

Just across from the wheel specialist,think its something to do with them.Powdertec have to send polished face wheels away.

Well I managed to sort the wheel out so the scratch is barely noticeable using 3m fast cut plus, so I'm happy to leave it. I could probably get rid completely but it's cold and I can't be bothered at the moment!

I usually take the dealers around the car to show no damage, take photos etc but I trusted these guys as it's been in with them so many times (when I first got it) for quite a while, with lots of work done e.g. new water pump, clutch, etc and they know how OCD I am :P

Unfortunately I guess I have to go back to showing them around it/taking photos, like I did with my Audi before this.

It's probably lost them a sale too as I won't go for a Mk7 now and think I will give another brand a go, possibly a m135i which I test drove or A45 AMG which I want to see in the flesh when they make it over here, or perhaps I'll go back to Audi and give another dealer a try

Candy White,GTD xeons, f/r parking sensors, 18" charlestons n what Ever else a GTD comes with......

Chris this place isn't opening for another 3weeks,but the wheel specialist can fix them but have to send them down south.
