Bugs the fcuk out of me when people come on here saying theyve just spent there hard earned money on a car and the replies they get are "should of brought a turbo" i know its just banter but if the op spent 1.5/2k on it the last thing they want is someone saying they apparently wasted there money !

Welcome to the forum bud my mate has a 1.8 a3 on 220k so plenty of life left if you look after her :D

It's a forum at the end of the day you will get helpful, sarcastic , nice and sh!t comments there's not wrong with any golf at the end of the day as its what you make of it but sorry 99% of people on here but a golf and go how can I get more power!!! So the natural response when someone buys a 2.0 or 1.8 n/a is usually sell it!! As he's said he's planning to put to standard so as long as ure not bothered about power and just want a car then there's Bugger all wrong with that especially if its a project apologies mate if I jumped on the 1.8t band wagon but sadly it's what most threads are like.   Look forward to seeing your progress mate

Recap....
Hey all, ive bought some cheap alloys and tyres from ebay £80, standard VW Golf GTi 15" alloys not sure on the name of them, I know they aren't the best looking ones, but they are 100 times better than the shocking ones that were on there!
