another way to see if its the ballest is to swap the working side with the non working

you can buy a brand neww kit for 30 quid on the bay it be easier than messing around replacing bits

Won't you be replacing bits if you buy a new set? why not just swap the ballasts see if thats the problem.

open bonnet
unplug working ballast
unplug non working ballast
plug working ballast into no working side
plug non working ballast into working side
switch on lights

if the light is working on the none working side, its the ballast if not then its something else.

i no i wouldnt want spend £30 on a kit and it turned out to be somthing else.

yes i was thinking of the cost  effective way .....price of ballast (i dont know how much) price of all new kit not much more i would of thought just a suggestion  :wink:

suppose it depends on what kit he has, i paid £8 for my replacement ballast from amazon.

Thanks guys. Changed them round and found its the ballast that's faulty. Just ordered a new one from eBay £7
