Just get solid Brembo, cheap even direct from them and are good, run them all round on mine.
Been looking at big brake kits, but they aren't cheap
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

Grooved tend to eat pads up quicker.

I went solid, yes grooved look cool, but they do chew pads

standard it is then.......mind you, is there any advantage in stopping ie are the disks actually better???
sometimes i think i dont drive it enough to worry about pad wear!! (oh btw im on 80k now haha)

you think there is enough meat on those pads?

when you say solid?.....

Drilled and grooved disks are more suited to a track cars where you will be braking heavily corner after corner. The Benefits I believe are that they dissipate heat quick, therefore you should get less brake fade under heavy loads. Also maybe something about channelling brake dust away for the track pads which give off more 'dust', if you know what I mean.

Standard disks for road use will be more than fine.
