mk4 gti 150bhp whatever!

what is it with the mk4 gti 150bhp when my p reg 16v eats them for a laugh?
was thinking about buying one but after driving one what a pile of heavy crap?

Weight is obviously the issue here,  same power trying to shift more mass equates to a slower car... until remapped.

cant believe how 2 bob the mk4 feels,really thought it was a nice motor till i took one for spin.

MK4 just looks ugly.  Mk5 GTi is awesome :smiley:

The 1.8T is pretty poor in standard form, but chuck £300 at it and you'll have a 200bhp/240lbft car which will destroy your 16v :wink:

it's like every new standard engine should be in a previous golf.. 1.8T in a mk3, ABF in a mk2 and a KR in a mk1 lol

I absolutely love the look of mk2s and I bet the handling is so much better but you can't beat a mk3 for price and the interior is better

Just progress on engines. ABF and 1.8T suited to all Golfs really. I want a PD130 in an older dub as a daily. Thinking a MK1.... :/

TBF I need my MK3 back or to go bother the MK4 section more since that's all I drive these days. :grin:
