im on the edge with this car. today i fuelled up £10 and its empty already. Its given me F***N 13 miles for a £10 !!!!!!!!!!!! and smoking like mad, i got pulled by the FED and he sez yur cars smokin abit too much isnt it ? WHAT ON EARTH IS UP WITH IT !!!!

If i was you i'd take up the offer of original parts and replace all that junk with things that should've been there in the first place, don't write a good car off for the sake of a few quids worth of secondhand spares.
For what it's worth i'm a big fan of the trusty old 8v but its a total waste of money putting fancy filters and chips on it because it just robs it of its inherent reliability, treat it to a good service every year and it'll go on forever and a decent exhaust with a bit of extra ventilation in the standard airbox makes it sound sweet as a nut. :smiley:
