No air box on this one it has a k&n type filter, i guess you meant inside the box where the filter would be? No warning lights come on and no overheating temp stays bob on the middle.

Sorry I don't mean anything like that. I've probably got the wrong name. I mean the network of stuff behind your dash used to direct the air about. Heater Matrix perhaps?

Anyway, on my corrado there was a flap operated by the heater controls and as it had slipped or been set up wrong, I couldnt stop the cold air from flowing.

changed my stat today in my 1.8t temp gauge now works sits at 90 and don't move but took the wife out early to Tesco sat with the car running for 15mins while she went in temp went to 90 all well and good on the way back give it the beans to get the water flowing got home took a look no leaks water levels bang on. but top hose red hot bottom hose cold is this correct???

I left the car running for a while more and give the bottom hose a squeeze a few times and not long after that the hose became warm I take it the stat had started to open??
sorry to jump in on anyones topic just want to know if I have a prob

might had just been some air or something down there. I thought the bottom took longer to heat up anyway.
When we did my thermostat I was getting a warning light for the next few days starting from cold. It soon cleared up though. Just one of those things.

well went out for a run in it this morning done 20 mile's round trip temp at 90 top hose red hot bottom hose stone cold. it was -1 there this morning so stat must have stayed closed. im not going to worry to much now many topics over the internet I seen in the last 24hrs all say bottom hose will stay cold till the stat opens. and once stat opens it gets hot and then drops cool again when it close's. if this is correct??

Cant say what it supposed to be like but thats what mine is like. New stat fitted and the bottom hose cold top one hot. No heat inside. Temp gauge right on center.
