Thanks for everyones responces, so far I have installed the RCD 510 which was very easy, however been given the wrong radio code so unable to see if all is working well  :angry:

VW Daybrook should be supplying code over the next few days so will let you know how i get on.

Thats something you should always check on when buying a used VW radio. VW should find the radio code via the serial number on the radio but they may charge you.

Just a quick update on this changed the stereo too less than 10 mins and all functions are working well.  So in conclusion no coding required  :smiley:

Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.
