that's the thing dave, Mine isn't loud, at all, it sounds very similar to my old non res miltek, and not at all intrusive. very strange.

Anyone half decent at mapping can map out the EML, it doesn't have to be done as part of a 'stage 2' or anything, you can map it out on a standard car even.

Somewhere like R-tech or badger 5 are able to do it, I believe R-tech will even patch it into your existing map for a small fee mate.

generic st1 codes like revo and things can't do it though, only the people who actually write maps can do it for you :)

I had mine mapped out on a stock car before I even decatted it, knowing that I would do soon.

Got a generic stage 1 but dying to sort stage 2 just wonderedcif can get away with a stage 2 then fit fmic later in year..... surley it will make the power just not hold the power due to heat?

no, fmic is an absolute MUST for st2. Without an intercooler, what is it? just a stage 1 with too much boost and lots of heat?

nasty nasty. With inlet temps silly high from the stock SMIC the timing could never be optimised to see it's potential anyway, as even 1 single pull would have IAT's too high for the kind of timing a st2 map would typically run.

do it once and do it right mate :)

Spacers arn't really the solution lads, you MIGHT get away without an EML for a while, maybe even for a long time, but ultimately, if you've decatted an AUM / AUQ, you'll get a light on unless you have the threshold altered in the map.

AGu on the other hand, knock yourselves out, no lights for you boys :)

I'm surprised to hear people saying they're loud still, I push 350bhp of gas through mine and it's no louder than a non res miltek at all!

admittedly mines been in since end of may and no codes or lights etc. maybe one of the luck ones so far, may only go stage 1 on rtech as im not a power chaser but its nice to have if needed  :lipsrsealed:

what would i be looking at for a garret28 if i were to go that way? out of curiousity obviously

I watched Dan turn the rear Lambda off on my mates mk4 AUM,
He just changed the setting from 1 to 0 so that it read 'OK' constantly
