lol mk4 anyday over a mk3 ,i liked the mk2  :drool:
AGU 1.8T. Mods done: R32 front bumper, turborev smic, ngk platinum spark plugs, uprated pancake pipe, demon motorsport boost hoses, forge 007 dv, forge engine cover, r-tec stage 1 map ,home made cold airfilter ,run on 98 ron fuel and castrol edge 0w 40 oil. Advanti racing alloys.

NO get a mk3 16v gti and laugh at all the mk4 gti 1.8t's (in standard form) trying to keep up with there turbo lag  :grin:

This!!! The mk3 is known for Being a boat. But the mk4 is bigger and heaver! And did someone just say the mk4 looks better?  :laugh:

I'd say get a mk3 16v, and then when your bord of it, do a 1.8t conversion onit (and remap it of corse)

To be honest, for good or bad, I don't really want another MK3. I've had this one for 7 years, it's time for something new...

Missed this thread  :grin: I dont think theres a Golf Ive owned that I havent had to spend money on at some point think its part of owning a Golf  :grin: Loved all my mk3s still do like them but dont think I could go back to a mk3 after owning my mk4 unless it was a second car.

who ever says a mk3 looks better than a mk4 need be shot, i had a mk3 vr6 previous and it was a dog.

I've had both, and the mk3 interior is dreary!! :sick: Even if you have the best seats in it, the colour concept leather recaros (which I did), the dash and trim are just too dated!! :undecided:
