I think I have softened them now?? (I had to take them off again so it made it easier)

plus it doesn't really matter much as I am currently looking at a koni or weitec kit  :lipsrsealed: :lipsrsealed:

just thinking of my bonus.... this year it was going to buy me a new car, but as I've passed that stage I'm thinking to spend it on the car to get it right (oh and I have seen a full koni set up for £200)

well only minor things to update...

now with new clutch cable and the clutch is back close to the floor and the judder/stiffness has gone!
oh and I've being looking at the rusty bits of bodywork and have being sorting a few of them out.... I am amazed at how crap vw's water based paint is on the 1996 models as it has started to rust under good paint!! (front wings, rear panel and door bottoms!).

I will be getting rid of the rust a bit later but plenty of jennolite hopefully has stopped any spreading further??

so my list of jobs to do....is

  • sort rusty/bad paint area's
  • fit new shockers or coilovers (I missed out on the koni's but I have another idea!)
  • wheel refurb/repaint and fit quality tyre's (the one's fitted are crap!)
  • new exhaust and cat (loose the noisy one fitted)
  • new airbox (loose the piperx)
  • fit my amp wiring kit (I am having issues as the car has aircon and I can't find where to place the wires through the bulkhead!)
