Yeah black on a white car would look good. I was just looking to break up the red. It's such a large block of colour I thought a stripe would give it some contrast which I think it done perfectly.

I still think red stripe on a black car would look cool but I also do think of the A-team now so  :undecided:

I like it it is subtle not in your face just how a gti should be. Back in the day I had an xr3i which was red and it had a stripe down the side  :whistle: reminiscing :/)

I think just the lower two stripes would look good a bit like the mk1 GTI

Being picky, would agree with dubber and Ex, nice as it is but would be perfect minus the top stripe.  Looks great with the alloys.  It's a very nice looking car.  Thought about going a bit darker on the rear windows?

Went passed the 50k mark today! So I've put 14k on it since the end of Feb, I think I must like driving my GTI  :laugh:

Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.
