I never know why people to choose to tape around lights and rear glass. Unless your using a heavy cutting compound I machine polish the rear lights and rear glass with every else. I only ever tape rubber seals, or plastic trim.

Also, why is the exhaust taped?

It was taped for machine polisher, didn't want to get any polish on the black trim or rubber as its a pig to get off. There's no tape on exhaust just metal cleaner left on to do its business.

Sat in traffic for ages, getting fed up with my radio turning on and off on its own, to get home to find the gf's dog that's sitting in the front footwell has thrown up in my car, 1st and last time the dog goes in the car!!

Took my car to the dealer to show them the start of the dreaded whiteworm on 2 of my wheels. They took photos of the wheels and I'm waiting for them to get back to me, hopefully with some good news that they'll be replaced under warranty.

Oh, and I saw an indicated 66 mpg for the journey to the dealer's and back; a round trip of about 50 miles.

Went to pick up my car that had been at the dealers getting the waste gate rattle and a coolant sensor problem fixed only to turn the car on and get the warning message: 'Oil Sensor, Workshop!'. Get the feeling they've disturbed something while it was in today  :angry:. So it's staying with them for another day and I have another day in a 1.2 Polo :(

I was happy to clean off a lot of the winter grime, the car will get a bigger detail as the weather improves but a good clean was much needed. Also fitted some seat placards that have been waiting since xmas.

Just picked the gti up from service they know I'm fussy so they did a good job of cleaning it as well courtesy car was a cc so that was nice as well good job all round many thanks kettering vdub :smiley:
