agreed lol, that's why during winter I've just had nature let it have its way, until today i washed it (plus someone had thought it was funny to draw a massive thingy on my rear window, and funnily enough all my friends are denying all knowledge), i went to a little meet of japcrap today, and needless to say most were sheds, so i just had to show off and play with the air coming into the car park, I had a little mini crowd, it was cute haha

yeah I use their black hole, it's some good stuff

You sure you didn't use SIC in Portsmouth, cos they're sh!t too?

Nice build thread tho, but wondered why you need a gauge as I thought the switch speed uses pressure signals/level sensors?

Firstly:
On inspection of the wheels in the morning i got back (was too dark at night to notice

i noticed that the drivers side had my 9j on the front and my 8j on the rear???

Passenger side was fine, argh it winds me up how stupid it is..

(9j on front

8j on rear:

Next on fitting the wheels i noticed this on on the inside of the alloy

Which corresponded with..

Then when trying to put the wheels back to normal.. i put the 8j back on the front..

Went to try and put the 9j on the rear and it wouldn't go on, my friends were stood there laughing at me not being able to fit a wheel, so i said fine try yourselves, which they then couldn't

We turned it round,, scratched our heads.. and found out they've made a spigot ring for some reason to make it fit ?????????????????

You can see the nice new shiny piece of metal..

Normal:

Comparing them:

You can see the lip, that wasn't enabling them to fit:

I removed it gently and hey presto, the wheel then fit..

Next the install itself...

Their lovely airlines they made me (the ones i'm replacing with bulkhead unions)

ø; by Matty_Dub, on Flickr

Why they used normal fricking sealent is beyond me..

They should know it perishes and won't last long, especially with vibrations etc (thats why now they've come apart from the silicone hence replacing them properly with unions

Their notch:
couldn't find fault with this, until the car probably falls apart haha, then i will..

Speed sensors from fitting the wheels with no spacers and longer wheel bolts

Now the boot build.. i say build more like bodge by FAB FINISHING ACCUAIR INSTALL  (hoping google will pick this up)

If you look closely in the pictures you can see the bracket the air tank was secured too, again that was drill screwed, and you could push the tank backwards and forwards, enough for it to come loose.

ø; by Matty_Dub, on Flickr

Notice the pattern of all the drill screws?

ø; by Matty_Dub, on Flickr

ø; by Matty_Dub, on Flickr

ø; by Matty_Dub, on Flickr

All their excess swarf they left... and notice the drill screws, no sound proofing, drilled to the chassis making it resonate through the whole car and sound like a drum.. the air lines, they drilled holes into the car for the grommets to fit, which would of been fine, but they drilled the holes too big and filled with silicone (BODGE JOB)

There we have it, this whole accuair switchspeed system cost me £3,500 by FAB FINISHING

You see their Bentley Passat, and it's very well finished, then you see this, make up your mind about them, I've lost complete respect for them, if they hate me, they hate me, so be it, it's my car at the end of the day and they've BODGED IT

THIS IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY

it's made me so angry..

At first they offered a £250 refund, and for me to come back and them to sort it in a day and for them to buy me lunch, which yes is a nice gesture, but not after treating my car like that, i had so many issues i knew it wouldn't take a day, and from what they did i did not want them to touch the car again.

It's gave me nothing but grief, i politely refused their offer and said i don't want to drive all the way back up (its a 3 hour journey each way) 354Mile round trip, so it was not happening as i knew again i would have issues, or bodges to fix them temporarily so i wouldn't know, so then an offer of £350 refund was issued, which i said make it £400, and i'll be happier, so they agreed and asked me not to mention this, but this is my car, and i'm not ashamed to post pictures of my own car, they cannot stop me, my car my rights.

This was with FAB FINISHING

I'm sure it was FAB FINISHING (cant get enough of repeating this so people see :P )

unfortunately that's only Elevel, which i'll be going soon hopefully, not anytime soon, but in the future lol, the switchspeed controller has no presets, only valve settings

Nice write up and build man,  can't believe what a bodge of the air those pricks made though .

Yeah i couldn't believe it too, i trusted them seeing their work, i've regretted every moment :(

You posted all of this just to attack a company you paid to install something you didn't need.

All this goes to show one thing, kids - obsessing over ride height is stupid and companies out there who help ride-height obsessives are pretty dumb, too.

Talk to Trading Standards, but I don't think you have a particularly strong case, as you've not offered the company the opportunity to remedy their defective work, which is what you should have done first.  If I were you I'd take them to court for the cost of complete new genuine VW carpets and sound-deadening - it's been water damaged due to their poor workmanship, right?  Go ask a VW dealer for prices on everything that's been water damaged - after all it wasn't water damaged before this work was undertaken.  I think that should sort things more than just over a 10% refund, which is peanuts.

Obviously you've told your insurance company about the large notch cut into the main front crash members of your car, right?  And probably provided an engineer's report from the company that did the work to confirm it's been done competently?

Or did they just gash out a large section of the main crash member on the car so your car could be very low?
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.
