Was thinking of just doing the vr conversion mate but struggling to find one on a tight budget

Not going to be a lot in it, find a cheap donor car and swap everything over.

And your point is :smiley: given the choice if your going to all the work of fitting a 16v you may as well fit a VR6, same amount of work involved at the end of the day.

Agreed, 16v ABF gets boring in a Mk3 just as quick as an 8v.
PvW on an ABF is still the same as a Saxo, for me its VR minimum.
