link error or ABS

I m using the autoscan faculty from VCDS lite and its booting me out after scanning address 3 with this result

Address 03: ABS Brakes
   Controller: 1J0 907 379 Q
   Component: ABS/EDS 20 IE CAN  0001
   Coding: 13504
   Shop #: WSC 00028
No fault code found.

I have tried scanning the modules individually and comes up with the message  no response from the controller.

I m using a cable bought from ebay.

Any help ? is the problem with the link connection or with my ABS pump ?

It says in what, youve posted that no fault code has been found
