EGR Delete Fitted (Now with Boost Gauge)
« on: 19 December 2012, 20:31 »
Well my EGR delete kit arrived from Bulgaria the other day, £20 cheaper than buying from the U.K  so thought I would give a little write up since a few people have been asking about it

First things first, the kit costs £37 delivered and arrived after exactly 2 weeks, not bad for Bulgaria.

The kit is actually of decent quality and comes with everything needed to fit it:

Delete pipe
Gasket
Blanking plate
Gasket
Jubilee clip
Bolts (Not actually required)

The kit itself is very simple to fit, about a 10 minute job apart from the turbo pipe, the turbo pipe is the part where some people may squirm  The only way I could see of fitting is to just cut it flush with the metal flange, so I done this and the pipe was a good tight fit onto the delete pipe. One thing I will say is that the jubilee clip isn't really substantial enough to hold the turbo pipe in place so I would get yourself a better clip/clamp

Since I have fitted I think there's a difference, personally I can feel a smoother pull through the revs, this is maybe just mind games, but at least it's good news! Plus it does mean that my engine is now running on constant clean air instead of recirculated exhaust gasses too! With this kit I can only see plusses.

Here's the pictures to show what it looks like:

Where it sits.

Up close.

Nice and subtle.

Now I've got the boost gauge fitted and I think it's looking pretty good :)

And now with the pod :)

Couldn't be much easier really, and you'll like the difference. Trouble is..Engine Management light..hahaha
