yep, bigger bottoms are the way forward...just bought an entire 1990 Passat 2.0 GL on the bay for a whopping 99 quid!

Head gasket is gone, but so will the rest of the car once its 9a block is in my '89 16v...i will do a rolling road test once she runs again to see what figures this cheapo weekend swap gets:
165k KR Head, 50mm inlets, KJet fueling
2.0l 9a block
oem exhaust/air filter
Passat has 150k on clock...my valver has done 165k so everything should be nice and sloppy too..!
Any other advice guys n gals?
