so if thats the case why does everyone on here diss 8v's?

Because it takes about 2 days to get to
 that 90mph in 3rd  :grin: :grin: :grin:

 :grin: the speed isn't the problem, its the acceleration.

It sounds like, its only me & Tweed, who have really pushed an 8V GTI to its limit...  :laugh:

At top speed the Mk3 is quite stable not scary at all, a Mk2 at 135mph borderline brown trousers :grin:
The windscreen used to vibrate into a fuzz from 125 to 130 then go clear.....
I was quite foolish as a young lad :lipsrsealed:

So back to my point, if it is a misfire and the new plugs leads and dissy cap dont fix it, except for a new rotor arm what do i do next?
