Front cover feature / 4-page 'First drive' report on new GTI in next issue of Volkswagen Driver magazine ... (June issue) just gone to press today, so copies should be printed and available by the weekend ( We attended the International press launch last week, drove from Nice airport to Le Castellet, near Marseilles, did a few laps of the Paul Ricard circuit, then a few tours of the surrounding hills, back to Nice next morning... :)

www.volkswagendrivermag.co.uk   or  01525 750 500 to reserve your copy   :)

Neil, thanks for that, will the Ipad version be available earlier ?

Any idea when they will let you loose on the GTD as it seems there are no reviews or test what so ever (like VW is keeping them back to save taking the limelight from the GTI) ?

I think it's a case of Icon before Pretender

Seriously though, I would have thought a joint press week with petrol and diesel to review would have made sense. I guess this way it gives them two dollops of publicity rather than the one. Sucks for all the GTD fans though waiting for info and reviews.

Cancelled GTI, M135i beast mode.

It's very worrying all these journo's are giving misleading information... Quote "Standard equipment includes park assist with a rear view camera, an excellent touchscreen satnav, 19in alloy wheels and individual climate control air con, plus you get bags of space for four adults and luggage"

Well I suppose they got the "bags of space for four adults & luggage correct!"....
