Quite a fair little report really ,be Interesting when re Done with the new R Instead , Recently took my Mk6 R and
a 135 on a road trip ,in real terms over 100 miles A and B roads ,the Golf was Quicker and Nicer ,only BMW plus
was the Engine ,not the Box or the looks . :wink:Looking forward to my GTI in a month though .

Great review Bear. Just shows you how good the GTI is when its pitted against these two monsters. In reality it should be the the forthcoming 'R' which gets tested alongside the M135i BMW and AMG Merc.

As much as the BMW has a nice engine, balance etc it is just sooo ugly. I need to like the look of a car before I would consider buying it.
