Might have been posted before this thread is long now but given reviews from some 'experts' that there is a little of a detached handling then think this video maybe puts that in perspective as the GTI looks pretty lively and fun and handles brilliantly at speed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ak_JoKk6eI

Almost posted this yesterday but there is no talking or even the times of the laps posted!  Predictably people in the comments say the ST was deliberately driven badly to make the GTI look good. :wink:

Just goes to show how good the GTi's Performance Pack torque vectoring LSD is, compared to the Ford's (which works more like the Golfs XDS system by applying a subtle amount of braking to the inside wheel). You could just sense the ST understeering into the Armco.

I pity the poor fella buying this particular demonstrator!  :grin:

... yup, and I bought 2nd place for exactly that reason, and its understated looks (OK, plus a few other reasons too!)
