What a car! WOW. Looks totally amazing in 3 door white. I hope that was transit white and not fancy oryx in the video. Anyone know just by watching?

Is hard to tell, especially in a video with wildly varying white balance.  Both the pure white and oryx white paint samples I looked at look very similar from a distance, especially in bright light.  Thee will be times and lighting conditions where the oryx white comes into it's own, but I didn't buy a GTI to have it shimmer in subtle shades of iridescent pinks and greens!

Edit: Looking at the video again, I'd say that was oryx white.

Aye, but you need to factor in local sales tax, and the relative specifications.  It does suck though, but it's the same with technology over there.  The answer is simple, move, but I'd rather not live in the US thanks! ;)
