Sorry guys didnt mean this to turn morbid, tis the season of good cheer really.

No worries Len, as far as I'm concerned, it does no harm to reflect a little as the year draws to an end...

Life's a weird one that's for sure Len. It'll be me and my wife's second Christmas without our baby boy. I'll be thinking of you fella.

I lost my Dad 4 years ago next week, by anyones account, he was an extraordinary man, what he got up to in WW2 was simply mind boggling!
My farther in law also passed tragically 2 years ago next March, another amazing story, while less than 6 years old, he was forced to walk with his mother, brother and sister, from a Siberian Concentration camp, to Kenya!

For any parent to witness the passing of their own child, is beyond words... I hope you have fantastic memory's of your son, but can also look forward to the future

I kinda know how they feel, I once walked from Grimsby to Cleethorpes

But did you try it after not eating properly for nearly 2 years, and walking with no shoes!

Nowhere near as severe as Thom's Dad but my Dad went to Burma during WW2 as a Gun Aimer. Ended up with dysentry and beri beri and got sent back to India to convalese which took 6 months by which time the war was over.
I might add he joined up late because he was a Policeman, but decided he wanted to do his bit when his brother got killed on a mine sweeper (it hit a mine)
