i ran that film and yes it does affect the light output thats why i took mine off  :smiley:


 i drive a golf thats why im skint!!!!


losing interest in the golf and now not so skint !!!!!

Got it all sorted now, bought another set of headlights from eBay, cut the backs off and got the glass lenses out, pics to follow!
1999 1.8t AGU, KNN Panel filter, Smoothed air box, Custom CAI, Forge 007 dv, REVO stage 1, 3" eBay TBE. Audi TT quickrack.

To come - A DIY hybrid K03 and a whole lot of supporting mods!

I haven't read this thread...But a part of me hopes that you baked them in the oven to get the glass off or however it is done, and then forgot about them!  :lipsrsealed:

the film i had is slightly darker than the one you got fella maybe thats why it as affected the light output or it could just be my sh!te vision  :grin:

I don't know what happened! I heated them evenly with a heat gun, as soon as I gave it a little tweak with a screwdriver it just exploded! Managed to do another set of lights with no problems so I'm guessing I was unlucky and had an imperfection in the glass, like a bubble or something.
