would you be able to recommend some settings (toe and camber)? then I can just go to the garage and tell them what I need. what did you do on yours? my bro said -1.5 may be ok?

Tbh i would not know, what the settings were. It was about 2-3 years ago, when i got mine done and i told the guy, do what you have to do, but it should not catch in the arch.

But what i can tell you is, First he aligned the rear wheels to factory settings, then he moved on to the front wheels, aligning them with the rear's.

Then he sorted out the camber/caster on the front, so it done touch. and when the car was on the ground, i could tell that the front wheels were at a slant and it looked ace.

also, some people place the clamp on the alloy wheel itself, and some place it over the tyre, which in your case if your car is low,the clamp will not go over the tyre, due to the arch being in way. so you would have to source someone who places it over the alloys.

Did you change the suspension yourself? Changing the suspension in a Mk3 (Mk1 & 2 also) will definitely mess with the camber and toe, don't think there is any castor adjustment available at all. I may be wrong.

Adding negative camber (think standard is around -1 ish) will definitely help with handling. -1.5 would be a good setting, and, like you say will also help clear the arch slightly. Just be careful there is enough room (depending how low you are and what size tyres/wheels/offsets/bla bla you run) between the wheel and adjuster rings/springs on the coil.

Get the camber and toe done properly and you'll notice a massive difference in the handling.
I've just lowered mine some more and put the settings out so need it doing, just need to find a place that doesn't use the 'over the tyre' mounts on their equipment as they will not fit between the wheel and the arch.
