If you talking about a Golf then gearbox removal is dead easy against the Rover which includes removing the subframe but as I explained in the thread why should I touch the car if I have warranty.
My skill level has nothing to do with it, even I would not tackle an engine conversion but some people would be happy to try hence my post.
