Drive Shaft popped out (SORTED) :)

one thing after another alright lol, can the drive shaft pop out if not supported correctly, its took a couple of dunts and looks rather loose, also got grease coming out the boot, gna have a better look tomoro

ouch, meant to add i was changing the shocks at the time and thought i had them supported properly.(obv not) kinda just been hanging there, any chance itl just pop bk in

yep has happened to me to luckily its an easy fix  :wink:


 i drive a golf thats why im skint!!!!

yep has happened to me to luckily its an easy fix  :wink:

just what i was wanting to hear, is it just a matter of taking the flange bolts out and refitting the joint to whatever it is its fixed too then bolting it bk up lol

mine popped off completely so had to order new spacer thingys  :grin: from vw only a few quid but all sorted  :cool:

yes mate

mine popped off completely so had to order new spacer thingys  :grin: from vw only a few quid but all sorted  :cool:

any1 know a way to crack the bolts easily without the joint turning

right, after a bit of research i think the circlip holding the axle into the tripple roller assembly has came off and the shaft is lying loose in the boot.

does this sound about right

Yes that sounds right!

And to undo the bolts put 2 wheel bolts back in the hub and use a breaker bar to hold the hub while you crack off the bolts. Will need an extra pair of hands though.
