Mine has 150000 and still has ok boot trim and ok Interier.
And all the underseal is still there. Thought it was a shed (because of battered panels) but the way you lot ate going on its worth keeping.

Whats the underside like?

Thom's spot on with the rear turret comment. Looked over a "show car" yesterday and the turrets were rotten

underside is good had it on a ramp, will pm you when its in, if you want a nose around it. never had issues with rear turets but guess first sign of this is the bubbling under the petrol flap. If you want to trade with that  old blue one of yours that you have had for years sure we could do something ;-)

I remember this car for sale a few months ago on gumtree. I'm 99.9% sure its the same one as I even remember the wording in the advert. The only thing missing from the original advert is the mileage which was 170000. He wanted 2200 for it at the time and hence the wording saying how they go on for 250000 miles. As I said I remember this well.

I can't explain how the mileage checks out, unless that the 0.1% of me thats wrong.
I would have bought it if he had come down a few hundred!

Thanks! As a first post I'm supposed to ask a question

Just saying if you have a doubt about a car its usually right. It's a cracking looking car though and even if it had a 170k on it I was still interested. Just not at 2200.

pick it up tomorrow and I havnt advertised it yet so dont know how you could have seen an ad for it on gumtree. and havnt seen it myself on there either as I troll gum tree, local rags, ebay etc for cheap cars as I run a used car site. This came to me via the trade as all the local traders know to ring me first if a mk2 comes in.
