VW tdi caddy van, few hundred kilos in back, from Sheffield to Cologne via the tunnel (so basically your exact route to German border), various trips out in evening over the course of a week. Filled up the evening I left and van had just dropped into reserves just shy of 600miles. Cost 75 euros to fill just outside Cologne city centre. Was about 1E35/L I think and this was in May.
