Design company from Portugal looking to move to UK
« on: 02 September 2012, 20:57 »
I have a friend in Portugal who runs Lusomotors - http://lusomotors.com/design-engineering/

As Portugal is basically BROKE Ernesto has been thinking really hard about upping sticks, business and all and moving to the UK. He does a lot of car design work with loads of one off's and also has designed and has a production run of Kit cars. One of his problems is Portugal doesn't have a SVA system so getting kit cars on the road is a nightmare and plus most of the parts he uses that don't come from the donor come from the UK anyway.

Apart from his very own version of the Seven - http://lusomotors.com/lm-sev-n/, Lotus 23 - http://lusomotors.com/lm-sev-n/, Porsche Speedster - http://lusomotors.com/lm-speedster/

He has some of his own originals too including the GT - http://lusomotors.com/lm-gt/, Bud-jet - http://lusomotors.com/lm-bud-jet/, Spaceframe Mini - http://lusomotors.com/lm-mini/

Just off the drawing board is this Golf Mk3 based crossover which can be 2wd or 4motion and will use any engine from 1.4 to VR6 2.9 or 1.8T 20v or even TDi

He would like some feed back on this design and also the others as he is trying to judge the UK market for all his projects, he is set up at present to turn out lots of one off work so take a good look around his website.

You never know he could produce bigger and better kit cars over here in the UK!!!
