Doubt it will happen, the Scirocco is back and I think that is as far as VW will go with coupes.

I think the Roc could do with a facelift now, it's getting a bit long in the tooth! Perhaps a mix of both somehow??

Completely different animals imo. Scirrocco doesn't have the "sports" image that the Corrado has imo. I think to do it justice if they bring it back again, its gonna have to have the large price tag the original had. Its gonna have to be some crazy fire breathing V8 or similar! It needs to be the car people look at in awe! It needs to be the flagship of VW. The Scirrocco has taken the small sport coupe gap, but VW don't have a stand out car anymore. The Golf R is the biggest head turner in the arsenal, but they need a car thats like that throughout the range. A thoroughbread sports car rather than a derivative of a family car. Theres your gap in the market, and one that would make people talk about VW again, in the same way they did when they released the original.

Oh and those pictures above are far too reserved to be a C. Thats just a facelift Rocco at best, and wouldn't deserve the Corrado badge.

From what I've heard, the Corrado wasn't that popular when released and has only gotten the recognition it deserves in the past few years?

If they do remake it, it needs to do the original justice. If they create one that has a similar 'face' to current VWs it will just look feeble and girly IMO.

It needs to be aggressive and masculine looking.
RWD would be perfection, too. Albeit unlikely.

Some Corrado love goin on there mate! Not missing it much then?

Imo the Rado was over priced when it was released and lets be honest was no oil painting, the photoshop at the top looks like it would sell to the fans of the original.

Yeah they are a bit marmite I suppose. I hate marmite, but I adore the Corrado! The price tag was the biggest obstacle when they were originally released, but I think it needs that price tag to make it desirable if they do it again, otherwise it'd just be a replacement for the Rocco, and nothing special.

Mitch, you're spot on I think with how it should be!
The mock of what it should look like is better suited than the photoshop imo, and exactly what Mitch has just said. It needs its own "face" if its to be done justice. It will just fade into obscurity if styled on the current range.

And I'm missing it like crazy Jim! I'm seriously pineing after another, I just need the funds, and time to get one. Have a million and one other things on my plate atm though, but fingers crossed it won't be too long.
