I'd hope that they changed the coil packs, the wash will have ruined your paintwork and the rest will have been looking for additional work to suggest that they carry out. Bar the air freshner, that's a bonus

Whenever mine goes into VW for work I always, without fail, request them NOT to wash it. I've seen one of their technicians drop a sponge onto the floor which he then just picked up & put straight back on the bodywork, didn't even rinse it in the bucket (not that it makes a bit of difference!).

They do the rest to try & find some work to stitch you £70 an hour labour charge for, not out of the kindness of their hearts!!

Well to be fair the wash was abit crap they left my car very spotty so I had to redo it lol they did say on there safety report that it's due a belt change I was like bollocks it had one 2k miles ago lol

Althou when I asked how much they would charge to to scan my car an tell me why my car is giving me the two error codes as in rather than me throw money trying to rule out each bit here and there they told me for £60+vat they will tell me exactly what is causing my error codes and what needs replacing to fix it do I'm abit temped

£60 lol

They wouldnt know what the codes mean anyway.

I know one chap who was told he needed a new ECU. turns out it was a faulty cam sensor.  Replaced that and it ran fine ever since

Well I got VDS lite and an eBay cable when I scan I get two error codes one is something about bank 1 running rich and the other one is the famous turbo pressure blah blah check DV!!

Mad thing is I've checked and tryed loads and still the errors are there. It's had new mag, new DV all boost pipes I have checked even taken some off, fixed the secondary air pump new coil packs full service only other things I'm thinking is injectors? Or even a pip split that I haven't yet found
