another stupid question!

i just fitted 15s with a 45 profile my speedo is about a country mile out I can deal with this but does this also mean that my rev limiter guage is also out?  i.e. i dont want to be under-revving when i can be squezzing more out of her
Another question is.....how do you tell if your water pump is fooked?  My top hose and bottom hose seem to have an awful lot of air in them i have bled the system but it doesnt seem to have made much difference.

revometer is completely seperate to the speedo, it measures the speed the engine is turning where as the speedo goes into the gearbox and measures from there, so the revometer will be fine.

Waterpump, i found out when i pinched the hose for a while and had the expansion tank cap off you should feel a build up of pressure and there should be a steady return of water to the expansion tank when the engine is running if it is running fine.

i reckon my pump must be nackered then because whilst there is water returned to the expansion tank it isnt steady and only seems to be returned when i increase the revs, i'll have to try pinching one of the hoses and see if there is a build up in pressure
